Oil Filter Press
The oil filter press belongs to clarification equipment mainly used in the filtering of crude oil and clean oil in vegetable oil process. The freshly extracted crude oil contains moisture, fiber, colors etc., which make the color of oil darker and more opaque. These impurities can be removed either by keeping the oil settle for a few days to separate the clean oil by gravity, or by using filter press presses.
When purchasing the oil press, first to see the appearance whether welding point is uniform, to check the machine whether lack spare parts, and then to turn the big belt pulley by hand to run several circles in order to check whether there is iron etc. foreign material in press barrel, whether blocked there, at the same time to well note whether gears mesh normally in gear box.
Before using the oil presses, first of all should be ready for all of assistant devices and containers, check and adjust the degree of tightness of belts. And then start up the motor so that the machine run empty of material around 15 min, checking the rotate speed of screw pressing worm. The general speed should be around 33 minutes.
Oils that are high with monounsaturated fat will keep up to a year, while refined olive oil, which has the highest of monounsaturated fat, can last a few years. Extra virgin and virgin olive oils will keep about a year after opened. The shelf life of most other oils after opened is usually six-eight months. Do not store oil in that pretty jar in the kitchen window or keep it on the shelf next to the stove.

Crude (freshly extracted) oil contains moisture, and fiber, resins, colors etc. From the plant material, which make it darker and more opaque. These materials are removed by clarification – either by letting the oil stands undisturbed for a few days and then separating the upper layer, or by using an oil filter. The oil is filtered through a cloth and heated briefly to 100°C to boil off any remaining traces of moisture. This is usually sufficient to meet the quality needs of customers and give a shelf life of several months when correctly packaged. However, the oil requires additional refining stages of de-gumming, neutralising and de-colouring to have a similar quality to commercially refined oils, and these stages are difficult to complete at a small scale.

Operating Instruction of the Plate Filter Press
When plate filter press is working, all the pipe clips should be tightened to prevent the oil from leaking. Filtering cloth should be put between the filter plates, and then lightened by tension bolt to make sure no leakage exists. Under the normal operation, the oil will come out 2 or 3 minutes after starting the press. If no oil comes out, please stop the press or inspection that if the oil pipe is clogged up or not. Under the filter piate. The valve is mounted which will be used when some filtering cloth is broken or the oil looks dirt.
